Job summary
We are excited to offer both newly qualified nurses and experienced nurses the opportunity to create their own bespoke rotational post within Medicine at the Royal Sussex County Hospital. We want you to be able to create a rotational post that excites you and is tailored to your interests and learning needs.
We recommend that candidates choose 3 areas to rotate around over 18 to 24 months (approximately 6 to 9 months on each area), however we are flexible and can accommodate most requests. We can offer rotations on the following areas within the Acute Floor and brand new Louisa Martindale Building: Emergency Department; Acute Admissions Unit; Acute Medical and Endocrine Ward (C5); Infectious Diseases (B6), 3 different Elderly Care wards focusing on Dementia Care (A8), patients with complex needs (B8) and an Acute Frailty Ward (C8); Acute Respiratory Ward (C9). Within the Acute Respiratory Ward and Acute Frailty Ward we also offer SDEC facilities to support admission avoidance and promote flow.
We have an experienced team of Practice Educators and Practice Development Nurses who will be able to support you in whichever areas you choose to work.
If candidates need guidance or support with their rotational choices can help the candidates choose what is right for them. We are always able to offer a permanent position at the end of the rotation and will support you choosing the right area for you.
