The Children Critical Care Unit is looking for hard working and enthusiastic Staff with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join our dynamic and highly motivated team. Who wants to make a real difference to the patients in our care. This is your opportunity to join the Children Critical Care team at the Alex and continue to move our acute service forward.
The Critical Care Unit is a busy 10 bedded unit proving Care to children of a mixture of ages with varying needs including Respiratory/Surgical/LTV interventions. You will have support from a strong team for your ongoing learning and professional development.
You will be support by a critical Care Practice Development Nurse.

Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role include taking your own workload of up to four patients and providing the care required for them. Additionally, family centred care is at the focus of each nurses day and, as a ward, this is very important to us. You will be expected to support children and young people with a variety of conditions and to adapt the care accordingly.
