Job summary
The post holder will provide efficient and organised administrative support in developing and maintaining the running of the Foundation Programme at the Royal Sussex County and Princess Alexander Hospitals.
The post holder will provide efficient and organised administrative support to the Foundation Manager and work with the Foundation Programme trainees, Foundation Training Programme Directors (FTPDs), Educational and Clinical Supervisors, Education Leads, The South Thames and Kent, Surrey, Sussex (KSS) Foundation Schools and Health Education England (HEE) to ensure education and training is of a high quality and meets GMC (General Medical Council) standards.
To ensure each trainee can access a comprehensive range of experiences which will enable them to gain the competencies necessary for full GMC registration and completion of the Foundation programme.
Main duties of the job
The Foundation Administrator will work closely with the Foundation Manager, Foundation Training Programme Directors, Academic Registrar, Clinical Tutors, Medical Education Manager and Director of Medical Education to provide robust administrative support for the Foundation Training Programme and Foundation trainee Doctors.
This will include dealing with day-to-day enquiries concerning Foundation training; administration of the Foundation Trainee Doctor's (FY1 and FY2) weekly teaching programmes. Processing of trainee assessments by using HORUS/E-Portfolio, supporting the with the administration of the Trust induction programme for Foundation Trainees including the Foundation Shadowing week and attending and providing administration support (e.g., preparing and circulating agendas and taking minutes) for the Foundation (F1 and F2) Local Faculty Group (LFG) meeting.
