Job summary

Neonatal Health Care Assistant - No direct patient care.

We are looking for a hardworking and diligent member of staff to join our team of health care assistants.

This is a non- patient contact role, where you will be required to maintain cleanliness of neonatal equipment. be responsible for the stocking up of the trolleys, maintaining a tidy work place and enabling the smooth running of the neonatal service.

Main duties of the job

  • Ensure the nursery is clean and stocked and equipped to a safe and high standard
  • Ensure equipment is cleaned on a daily basis and following use e.g. incubators, phototherapy equipment, suction machines, breast pumps
  • Ensure equipment is in a safe condition and report any defects appropriately.
  • Adhere to trust infection control policy.
  • Take responsibility for all baby linen, reporting when stocks are low
