Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and committed individual to join our ED Team at the Royal Sussex County Hospital on a 22 month Secondment.
We are currently in the early phasing stage of an exciting Acute floor rebuild and we are looking for an individual who embraces change to join our team and support transforming the way in which we deliver healthcare in the Emergency, Acute, Urgent Care and Ambulatory Departments to align with our vision as an organisation of delivering excellent healthcare.
This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic leader to join our management team on the acute floor to shape the service and the team to enable them to be fit for the future as we move through the redevelopment phases of the ED and acute floor. The individual will be involved in both daily operational leadership alongside quality improvement and departmental strategy.
Please note that if you currently work for another NHS Trust/within UHSussex and you are applying to accept this position as a secondment opportunity, before applying you must seek agreement and authorisation from your current Trust/manager. Secondments can't be agreed without this approval. If you are unable to gain approval you should refrain from applying unless you wish to take this role as a fixed term position.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will work alongside a second Matron and will support an experienced team of Band 7 senior nurses in providing leadership across the ED Department to support the delivery of high-quality patient experience, care safety and regulatory compliance for the Royal Sussex County Hospital
We are looking for someone with operational and managerial leadership within the Emergency and Acute specialties and who has a clear focus on the development and sustainability of services from a safety, finance, quality, outcomes, and experience perspective. You will have a clear vision and passion for service change, delivery, and transformation.
