Job summary
We would love for you to come and join the UH Sussex Maternity Team as a Band 7 Lead Midwife for Antenatal Clinic at St Richards Hospital Chichester. The post holder will have overall responsibility for the operational management of the Antenatal Clinic.
With a focus of enhancing women's experience and maximising resources, this position will provide day-to-day operational management of the antenatal outpatient care pathways, ensuring optimal delivery of midwifery and obstetric services.

Main duties of the job
You will coordinate and manage the safe and efficient flow of women and pregnant people through the antenatal clinic services.
This will include the supervision of staff, teaching of students, promoting and monitoring of safe and effective clinical practice.
You will coordinate and manage a high standard of care within the antenatal clinic providing expert knowledge of referral for high risk obstetric care.
You will have overall responsibility for the daily organisation, effective management and leadership of this busy outpatient area

As the Antenatal Clinic Manager you will coordinate and manage the safe and efficient flow of women and pregnant people through the antenatal and obstetric ultrasound services. This will include the supervision of staff, teaching of students, promoting and monitoring of safe and effective clinical practice.

Experience Essential
- Evidence of experience of working within antenatal care.
- Experience of managing staff
- Extensive knowledge of the National antenatal and newborn screening programmes.
- Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development plan.
- Must have an understanding of the background to antenatal care against the aims of current healthcare policy/national guidance/CQC/ and appreciate the implications of this on engagement
- Must have an understanding of the background to antenatal care against the aims of current healthcare policy/national guidance/CQC/ and appreciate the implications of this on engagement
- Experience of managing sensitive information.
- Have a thorough understanding of and commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with intermediate keyboard skills OR/AND any other relevant It systems applicable to the applicant
- Good knowledge and experience of financial budgets and processes.
- Experience of working in a busy environment.
