Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, adaptable Band 3 Physiotherapy Technical Instructor to join our team and provide excellent patient care in an environment where staff are supported to innovate and lead improvement.
You will be based at Worthing Hospital but working across all 3 sites including Southlands Hospital and Littlehampton Health Centre.
You will be well supported by the highly experienced team-lead Physiotherapists and non-registered staff with excellent opportunities to develop your won clinical and leadership skills, working within a strong peer group of other Physiotherapists, Physiotherapy Assistants, Technical Instructors and a strong and supportive multi-disciplinary team.
Previous experience at working within Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy at band 3 level is desirable, but not essential. We fully support training, both internal and external. The successful candidate will be part of a team consisting of Band 7, band 6 and band 5 support.
Main duties of the job
To assist the Outpatient Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy Team deliver flexible, patient centred programmes of therapeutic activities, exercises and interventions for patients referred to the MSK Adult and Paediatric Physiotherapy service and the Hydrotherapy Pool.
To support the day to day management of the hydrotherapy pool. To support the administrative function and day to day running of the department.
To work as part of a Physiotherapy Team providing a high quality and comprehensive therapy service to patients.
To work with patients with varied conditions in the outpatient MSK service.
To work unsupervised as well as alongside the qualified physiotherapists.
To provide information and advice to patients, carers and other health and social care professions on areas within the grades scope of practice, e.g., advise patients on exercise treatment programmes based on procedures and set protocols.
