Job summary

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for providing effective and high quality care for people with infectious diseases, HIV and related conditions and for providing support for their relatives and carers.

Through supervision and direction of junior staff and students, the post holder will be required to maintain high standards of patient care, promote the safe clinical practice and nurse role development.

The post holder will be responsible for the organization and management of the ward in the absence of the Ward Manager or deputy Ward Manager.

The post holder will be required to undertake any training required to fulfil.

  • Registered Nurse: Nursing and Midwifery Council (UK)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with Basic IT skills
  • Supervisory experience or Mentorship

Desirable

  • Venepuncture and Cannulation
  • Flexibility and able to work in other areas of speciality medicine
  • Substantial experience post registration in acute area of nursing
