Job summary
The IT department have successfully delivered multiple projects in the last few years which have vastly increased the level of digital maturity. These include EPMA, digital monitoring and observation and a Trust wide PAS.
The Minimum digital foundation (MDF) programme is a new improvement programme at UHSx. The objective of the programme is to improve the digital capabilities at the Trust, primarily across clinical services to ensure the Trust meets the NHSe MDF capabilities.
The first projects within the programme is the implementation of a Trust wide electronic document management system (eDMS). The eDMS will be a new digital capability in Brighton and PRH and will replace the existing eDMS in St Richards, Worthing Hospital, Southlands.
The programme will be supported by a dedicated project team who are local Trust experts in delivering change enabled by IT.
The super user will be an integral member of the team supporting the delivery of the electronic document management system (eDMS)
Main duties of the job
The objective of the programme is to improve the digital capabilities atthe Trust, primarily across clinical services to ensure the Trust meets the NHSe MDFcapabilities.The programme will oversee the implementation of new applications (for example eNotingand a Trust wide eDMS) and the optimisation of existing technology.The super user will be an integral member of the team supporting the delivery of theelectronic document management system (eDMS)The super user will work alongside the eDMS project team to support the team deliver itsobjectives. The super user will work alongside change leads understand and developcurrent process and design new processes. The super user will developchange action plans and associated options to address any issues or risks identified.The super user will understand how new digital capabilities will improve the service anddevelop the new reporting tools and department capacity planning tools (in coloration withthe operational leads of the medical records department)The super user will liaise and communicate with clinical staff, medical records dept, theeDMS supplier and other stakeholders to support implementation of the incoming eDMS.The super user will be a subject matter expert on the eDMS, scanning hardware andmiddleware and the new processes. The super user will be a positive advocate for movingaway from paper clinics to reviewing records digitally on the new eDMS. They will be the goto person for advice and support for users.
