Job summary
The post-holder is responsible for planning and facilitating change and embedding improvement in all aspects of the system management of incidents and risk within the Trust.
They must ensure that whichever local risk management system is used within the Trust that this meets the needs of the organisation and is optimised for the Trusts systems and processes and integrates with new and existing systems being rolled out across the Trust and wider NHS.
In addition, they will be responsible for the development of the system, to ensure that the organisation obtains the maximum benefit from the system, which includes consideration & implementation of new upgrades and modules as they are developed - (Incident reporting, Risk Register, Complaints, Claims, PALS etc).
Main duties of the job
o Develop system implementation, improvement and development plans and ensure full stakeholder engagement ahead of and during all the implementation phases and post implementation ensuring that the system complies with the requirements of external agencies - NHSE/I, Health and Safety Executive, Medical Devices Agency and any other organisations.o Accountable for system administration ensuring the system is kept up to date, accurate and that robust contingency plans are in place to ensure business continuity in the event of system downtime. Working to Trust protocols notably by rigorously applying change control processes and reference data policies.o Ensure all external reporting that relies on information from the system both currently and in the future, i.e., NRLS, LFPSE etc, is available, timely and used effectively to promote learning.o Lead on DCIQ System Governance, including, but not limited to:o Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA)o Equality Impact Assessment (EIA)o Quality Impact Assessment (QIA)o Data Flows and Mapso System Level Security Policies (SLSP)o General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
