Job summary
The Hazardous Area Response Teams (HART) comprised of specially recruited personnel who are trained and equipped to provide theambulance response to high-risk and complex emergency situations.Applications are invited from individuals with experience in the design and delivery of education and training programmes. Previous HART /Ambulance Service experience is not a mandatory requirement as training can be provided where necessary.The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of all HART training and education for HART staff within SECAmb in line with the standards setout by the National Ambulance Resilience Unit (NARU). And will be responsible for developing, preparing, managing appropriate high-qualityeducation & training programmes related to all HART capabilities in line with contracted National Standards.
Interviews will take place on Thursday 18th September which will include an teaching exercise, values based Scenario and panel interview.
Main duties of the job
The HART Training and Development Manager will plan, develop, deliver and monitor the training and educational programmes for all new andexisting HART personnel.They will deliver all relevant training relating to all HART capabilities in line with the requirements set out by the National Ambulance ResilienceUnit (NARU) and our commissioners.
The post holder will work closely with the trusts SORT/ EPRR and Clinical Education teams to integrate learning across the organisation.
They will be required to attain enhanced security clearance and will be expected to participate in an on call rota (remunerated in line with a4c), actas a Tactical Advisor and as a National Interagency Liaison Officer (NILO) on behalf of the trust. Full training will be give as well as as number ofother courses such as Tactical Commander, Radiation Protection Supervisor.
