We are looking to recruit a Pharmacy Support Worker to expand our team within our busy and friendly Medicines Distribution Centre (MDC).

The successful candidate for this role will be required to work in the Medicines Packing Unit undertaking the daily packing of drug pouches and quality assurance.

The Medicines distribution Centre operates across two shifts and as a Pharmacy Support Worker you will work a fixed shift pattern covering either early or late shifts 5 days per week. These will be discussed as part of the recruitment process.

Main duties of the job

In this role you will:

  • Daily packing of drug pouches for use by the operational crews .
  • Work together as a team to meet KPIs and ensure stock is available.
  • Ensure that resources are used effectively and in accordance with agreedprocedures.
  • Actively promote the flow of work through the department and communicate with Distribution hubs and Stations when obstacles arise.
  • Liaise with Senior Professionals and related functions to ensure that work is completed to schedule, not overlooked or duplicated.
  • Contribute to the stock control within the department, including participating in stock-checks, tracing and resolving stock discrepancies.
