Job summary

  • Band 4, NHS Agenda for Change - £25,147 - £27,596 per annum
  • Full Time-37.5 hrs per week
  • Permanent contract
  • Location- Paddock wood, Kent

Main duties of the job

  • Maintain stock levels are correct
  • Make sure parts orders are processed on a daily basis and VOR orders are actioned in a timely manner.
  • Checking data and burn rates of parts on the fleet management system to maintain min and max levels are correct
  • Checking stock on a weekly basis across our Kent/Sussex/Surrey sites
  • Using email and phone for ordering
  • The post holder will be responsible for 3 workshop sites for vehicle parts distribution
  • Will cover other workshops when other members of the team are on A/L or sickness
  • Will manage and check all stock on sites
  • Will Carry out weekly stock checks, at the 3 workshops, that they Look after
  • Will visit there sites on a regular basis
  • Will need IT skills and be able to use spreadsheets and be familiar with excel Microsoft Word.

Job description

Job responsibilities

To maintain an efficient and orderly parts department across appointed sites. Ensuring that all parts and materials are located in a logical order.

Maintain correct stock levels maximum and minimum. To liaise with parts team leader and update regular stock reports. Practise just in time acquisition of parts thus minimizing physical stock holdings. Liaise with suppliers, liaise and communicate with all levels of Fleet staff on a daily basis and give regular updates of parts once ordered.

Travel to all Workshop locations, and update stock levels as required and approved by parts Team Leader or workshop manager and identify recurring problems, thus spending trust monies efficiently

  • Maintain correct stock levels & restock parts shelves
  • Liaise with suppliers, to obtain parts as required, and ensure parts are correct, and priced accordingly
  • Return all parts and materials which are under warranty
  • Ensure all stock orders, and other non-stock items, are placed in sufficient time, in there procurement to help achieve maximum vehicle availability
  • Make sure all parts and materials supplied are electronically recorded to the appropriate bin, job, or cost centre.
  • Check deliveries against orders
  • To be responsible for parts administration as required
  • Issue of stock to workshop staff, assisting Parts Team Leader.
  • Raise parts orders and ordering parts by telephone and scan stock orders.
  • Restocking of parts shelves.
  • Receive and check parts, booking onto fleet management system
  • Travel to other workshops and stores, on a regular basis to check and identify stock levels are correct and identify problems, and inform the Fleet parts team leader and Workshop manager
  • Goods out raising forms / packaging / arranging collection.
  • To undertake any other duty or responsibilities, commensurate with the position that may reasonably be required by Fleet Services Manager
  • Resources include Computer, Fleet procedure manual, Technical publications
  • Job holder may be required, to carry out a job of equal or less value, than this post with relevant training to maintain service deliverance
