South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint two Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) Leads to work as either the East or West Lead for all IPC related issues within the Trust. Applications are invited from suitable candidates to provide support and where appropriate deputise for the Head of Infection Prevention and Control (HIPC) in the delivery of clean, safe, evidence-based practice based on current legislation and guidance.You will be expected to act as an ambassador for all aspects of IPC.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support compliance with the requirements of the Health and Social Care Act 2008, Standards for Better Health and other Department of Health(DoH)initiatives, ensuring ownership of compliance withInfection Prevention and Controlby clinical service leads, in line with 'Board to Ward'. To ensure the development of improved performance and service delivery acrossSECAmb.
Responsible for assisting theHIPC with providing advice, support and training as appropriate to all directly employed members of staff withinSECAmb, including the management of outbreaks of infection and incidents as they occur.
