Job summary

  • Permanent , full time 37.5 hours/week

We have an exciting job opportunity for a Portfolio Manager within our Operations Directorate.

The post holder will work across the Operation's portfolio i.e, Field Operations, 999 and 111 services providing project management expertise in the delivery of key projects and initiatives.

This role requires an individual with positive attitudes in line with our Trust values and behaviours, excellent attention to detail, highly organised and a skilled communicator. The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal skills and a solution focused approach to problem solving.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide oversight and ensure transparency of area and range of projects aligned to the Operations Portfolio and Trust's strategic objectives
  • Oversee major initiative or programme of work to ensure PMO processes are adhered to
  • Ensure that programme and project deliverables are tightly linked to the achievement of the Trust's strategic objectives

  • Support, facilitate and monitor progress of programme and projects against agreed KPIs
  • Support delivery and pace of projects within remit
  • Design, develop and deliver training programmes across organisation to support project leads
  • Assist and support the Programme Director to ensure project plans, risk logs highlight reports and project documentation is up to date and of a high quality
  • To ensure adherence to PMO project lifecycle and embedding of PMO processes and governance within the Organisation
  • Represent the Trust at internal and external programme board meetings
