Job summary

We are looking for a Recruitment Manager to manage our recruitment team.

The recruitment team is responsible for all recruitment into the Trust for both permanent, fixed term, bank and agency resources.

This busy team manages a high volume of vacancies, with a focus on patient care and ensuring the right people join SECAmb to benefit the communities we serve, while fulfilling the mandatory NHS pre-employment check standards.

Main duties of the job

To ensure the provision of high quality and effective Recruitment Services Trust wide. The Recruitment Manager will be expected to work often alone, within their designated area of responsibility and will be required to escalate Trust-wide issues through the Assistant Director of HR Services to the appropriate Trust senior team members.

You will be expected to chair meetings with stakeholders across the organisation to understand and support their recruitment needs and input into the workforce plan for future Trust requirements.

You will also look to continuously improve the service provision of the recruitment team, based on feedback and recruitment trends.

  • Recognised higher level qualification / masters (e.g. MBA, MA) / post graduate qualification in a relevant area or masters level equivalent experience.

Knowledge

Essential

  • Significant experience of the recruitment sector with previous experience of working at management level. . Knowledge of a comprehensive range of Human Resource and recruitment processes essential for staff management and service development. Demonstrable experience of budgetary and financial management skills Evidence of an in-depth knowledge of NHS priorities, processes and operational issues.

Desirable

  • Working knowledge of Trac recruitment system. Experience of report writing and presentation skills Understanding of corporate needs with regard to decision making and service developments

  • Proven experience of managing both large operational recruitment teams as well as Candidate Attraction teams within a high-volume and specialist resourcing, recruitment market ideally within healthcare. Interview and assessor trained and significant assessment experience ideally within an NHS environment. Experience in a high volume and customer facing environment . Able to build credible and influential working relationships at all levels within and outside the organisation. Able to work autonomously, interpreting employment legislation and providing authoritative advice on resourcing issues Able to plan and organise a range of complex resourcing strategies and programmes across the organisation in conjunction with workforce planning leads. Experience within an Advisory role, responsible for Hiring Manager engagement Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment.

  • Recruitment experience in the NHS Experience of utilising TRAC or similar ATS at a superuser/ management level. Experience of the NHS Inter-authority transfer (IAT) process for internal SECamb and wider NHS candidates Able to draft complex business cases, tendering documents and policies.
