We are pleased to advertise the role of CAMHS Outcomes Clinical Lead.This post is an opportunity to lead on the further embedding of a clinical outcomes-led approach across Oxleas CAMHS, with a particular focus on embedding and assurance of evidence-based practice. The post-holder will work closely with CAMHS borough Outcomes leads, lead the cross-borough Clinical Outcomes Group, and report into the Directorate CAMHS Leadership Group and Clinical Effectiveness Group.
The role will involve leading on the continued implementation of routine outcome measures across CAMHS, addressing any issues affecting engagement and reporting.
The postholder will be expected to take up or continue a clinical role at 0.2WTE per week, providing highly specialist clinical assessments and interventions to children and their families, consultation and clinical expertise within a CAMHS team.
This post is open to clinicians with a UK recognised Psychology or Psychotherapy qualification, a Nursing (RMN)/Social Work/other CAMHS practitioner holding a current UK professional registration with the relevant body. The postholder must hold knowledge and skills equivalent to/drawing on a postgraduate level qualification in research methods and statistical analysis.
Main duties of the job
- To lead, manage and plan the delivery of outcomes measurement and reporting within and across CAMHS
- To lead and hold responsibility for the development of evidence-based practice across CAMHS, via membership of the CYP NICE Panel, leading development of Positive Practice Prompts (PPPs) for CAMHS, and developing CPD opportunities (including Recruit-to-Train posts and other new roles as appropriate)
- To lead the CAMHS Clinical Outcomes Group and work closely with borough Outcomes Leads, Clinical Leads and Operational Managers
- To be the clinical and operational leadership of the electronic outcome monitoring system POD, liaising with external developers and the CYP Directorate Business Office to progress the functionality and embedding of the system across CAMHS
- To deliver highly specialist clinical assessments and interventions as a senior clinician within CAMHS, according to specialism, leading on clinical pathways and service developments as required.
- To ensure the effective conduct of research, service evaluation and audits relevant to the service, including outcomes reporting
- To work in close collaboration with other CAMHS leads to fulfil and further develop the evidence-based practice offer to children and families

- Qualification and professional registration with a UK recognised professional body
- Additional training beyond entry-level qualification in a specialised area of psychological practice relevant to children and families through formal post-qualification training (PG Diploma or equivalent), OR a combination of specialist short courses and/an evidenced portfolio of supervised practice-based learning in a relevant specialist area of clinical practice
- Completed training course in clinical supervision
- Registered with professional body as appropriate to discipline
