Job summary
- The post holder will provide a Lead and Project management function to the Service User and Carer Involved programme and provide support to the VST. Implement and provide integrated and comprehensive administration, secretarial systems and services, and PA skills enabling the effective and efficient delivery of the Trust volunteering services and its objectives.
- Provide an integrated and comprehensive service to the Involvement participants and volunteers in all designated projects across the trust to facilitate and enhance their experience in Service user involvement and volunteering for Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. Provide Service Users/carers, volunteers and placement managers with the relevant support and supervision.
- Support the Involved and volunteering services team in the absence of the Head of Service.
Main duties of the job
- Lead the development of a Service User workforce
- Assisting the Head of VST, LXP and SUI (Associate Director)
- Act as a reference point for all SUI queries
- Co-ordinate new SU and carers Involvement participants
- Identify opportunities across the Trust, to recruit and retain SU Involvement.
- Advertise, recruiting, and interviewing new SUI panellists
- Ensure that volunteers have attended their Trust-induction, mandatory training, and other relevant local training.
- Act as a resource for staff within the Trust in relation to development opportunities for SUI and Volunteers
- Develop role descriptions for volunteer placements with the support of HoVS.
- Conduct face to face interviews, ensure that all relevant checks e.g. Disclosure and Baring Scheme (DBS), Occupational health (OH) and reference checks are completed
- Arrange meetings of prospective volunteers with departmental managers to ensure that both the volunteer and the managers are clear about expectations of the role.
- Attend any relevant meetings for VST
- Support the performance of the Service User Involvement and Volunteering Services office function.
- Responsible for supporting Head of Volunteering services with implementation of Trust Directives and PPG's
- To assist the head of service with organisational aspects of their research.
- To collate, produce and present data
