This is an exciting opportunity to volunteer within the Memorial Hospital Snack shop serving staff, clients, relatives and visitors of the Hospital.
All profits raised are to be spent on our inpatient services.
Volunteers must live within 8 miles of the Memorial Hospital
Main duties of the job
To open the shop at prescribed times, display goods in display units observing sell by dates and rotating the stock.
To monitor and record the temperature of the refrigerated storage units +1/+8c best +4c
Use cash register & complete daily sales returns
Shop staff need to be friendly and amicable.
Experience working in a shop would be and advantage but is not essential
On the job training and awareness of the fire alarm and when to leave the building.
Volunteers must be trustworthy
On the job training on the use of the till, sales returns and refrigerator temperature reading. Personal hygiene.
Shop staff must attend Food & Hygiene training and statutory Fire training.
