Job summary
We are looking for a Band 6 Paediatric Dietitian to join our community dietetics team. The post is full time and based at High Point House, Greenwich. Within this role the post holder will deliver paediatric dietetic care in established community clinics across the borough. A large part of the role is to run face-to-face outpatient clinics.
You will work as a member of a friendly team, with responsibility for a varied community paediatric caseload including food allergy, fussy eating, nutritional deficiencies and a caseload of home enteral tube feeding. You will have the opportunity to work as part of an integrated children's service with highly experienced paediatric community team.
Regular supervision and relevant training will be provided and you will be supported by paediatric dietitians and the wider community dietetic team. Previous experience in the community is desirable, though not essential.
Main duties of the job
- To assess the dietetic needs of infants and children referred to the Community Paediatric Dietitian service and provide age-appropriate advice to parents and carers regarding their child.
- To provide advice to colleagues in health and social care regarding the dietetic management and care of patients/clients to include colleagues working with children with complex needs.
- To produce specialist reports regarding patients' needs and summarise proposed care and management plans within agreed timescales.
