Job summary
The role of the Medical Devices Safety Officer is to provide a link between Teamswithin the Organisation and the external regulatory bodies that report on PatientSafety nationally.
The role is to promote the safe use of medical devices, record and monitor the use and servicing throughout the Trust and to be a key driver in improvingcommunication and learning around the safe use of medical devices.The role will see the post holder having the day-to-day management of medicaldevices within the Trust.
Main duties of the job
The Medical Devices Officer is responsible for overseeing the medical devices within the Trust. This requires general knowledge around medical devices used within the organisation and the ability to use Excel to maintain a devices register. The post holder should be a dynamic individual who is able to support teams within the Trust as well as communicate effectively with external organisations.
