An opportunity has arisen to work as the Medical Staffing and Education Manager at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for a team member who can work independently in ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of the service often within tight timescales, possess good communications skills and a visible, open, and collaborative leadership style that will be essential to supporting and developing a highly engaged Oxleas Medical workforce.
The post holder will support the Head of Medical Staffing in providing operational leadership in relation to medical staffing across the Trust. This will include providing a centralised, responsive, and quality medical staffing service that incorporates medical recruitment, medical education, medical appraisals and revalidation, medical job planning, medical staff operational rota management, exception reporting, the undergraduate medical student and sixth form medical work experience programmes within the organisation. This will be achieved through effective operational management of the Medical Staffing team.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a support and advisory service to the clinical directors and lead doctors; undergraduate medical education lead, director of postgraduate medical education, medical appraisal lead, SAS Tutor, Guardian of Safe Working Hours and service managers on all aspects relating to medical staffing.
We are looking for a manager who has the ability to work independently in ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of the service within very tight timescales.
