This is an exciting opportunity to lead on the development of an integrated NHS Talking Therapies and Long Term Physical Health condition service (NHS TT -LTC).
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist, or Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, who is accredited as a CBT practitioner by BABCP.
Applicants must have substantial experience of working as high intensity CBT therapist, Clinical or Counselling psychologist, in an NHS Talking Therapies service, managing complex client presentations and providing formal clinical supervision to qualified staff and trainees. Applicants should also have experience of participating and leading in areas of service development such as service promotion and outreach, or perinatal, long term health conditions etc and have a passion and interest in promoting health and wellbeing within the wider community and engaging with relevant stakeholders.
Applicants must have good knowledge about the NHS Talking Therapies programme and have demonstrated high standards of communication skills, problem solving and have developed good professional working relationships with staff, patients, partners and the general public.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will expand the existing care-pathways and case-finding systems with stakeholders to deliver the LTC NHS Talking Therapies integration. They will be responsible for data monitoring and reporting systems against Key Performance Indicators, with support from the business manager.
They will use patient level data, patient feedback, complaints and incidents information from the LTC team and wider service to evaluate and report on the efficacy and performance of the LTC integrated team, communicating at a high level via written reports and presentations.
The post-holder will be working from an established base with experienced staff working within the integrated Greenwich LTC service. They will be part of the senior staff group, and will contribute to the overall management and governance of the service. The post-holder will be responsible for supervising and line managing CBT therapists and directing the work of the psychological well-being practitioner LTC staff (with the PWP team lead).
The post holder will be resilient, with a 'can do' attitude and have the skills, experience and personal qualities required to be able to manage the competing demands of building and maintaining the morale of staff whilst meeting the service's targets for quality and activity.
The post holder will receive regular clinical and managerial supervision and support and join other senior clinicians within the service.

Greenwich Time To Talk is a large and well established service (since 2009), and is responsible for the provision of Low intensity and High Intensity therapies, including brief counselling within the standards of stepped care model at steps 2 and 3. The staff team provide services across the borough of Greenwich in GP practices, healthcare centres, community organisations as well as the main team base in Eltham.
The service is well subscribed to and has good systems in place to manage incoming referrals and waiting lists. National and CCG targets on waiting times and recovery have been met regularly and consistently. The team are friendly, welcoming and have excellent systems in place for peer support. Staff have regular clinical supervision. Training and development are emphasised, and staff wellbeing and team working are given high priority.
