Job summary
We are looking for an experienced, motivated and innovative therapist to join the School Years service as a team Lead delivering services to children and young people within the Royal Borough of Greenwich. You will be part of a large and supportive team comprising of Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, therapy assistants and a well resourced admin team.
You would be part of the School Years Leadership team and be responsible for the provision of dysfluency services. You will be well supported by the Service Leads and Principal Therapists.
The service has excellent internal supervision and support structures and provides a friendly environment to develop clinical skills, with opportunities to contribute towards service development projects.

Main duties of the job
As the post holder you will:
- independently manage a caseload whilst utilising knowledge and skills of colleagues
- have opportunity to refine both Specialist assessment and management of children and young people with Speech Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
- work as part of an integrated team with internal and external colleagues
- support parent/carers and children/young people in all issues related to clinical care
- be a source of clinical expertise, providing advice and second opinions within the team
- supervise colleagues and provide appraisals
- be a member of the service leadership team and lead on service improvements including QI projects
- provide team leadership and strategic direction for therapist's working in mainstream schools
