Lead Nurse - Contraception & Sexual Health, Band 7 Permanent 37.5hours per week including evening and weekend working
The Contraception & Sexual Health Clinic at Market Street, Woolwich, is looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Lead nurse.
The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to work and lead effectively a multidisciplinary team within an innovative sexual and reproductive health service.
We require an individual who is forward thinking, well organised with a positive attitude towards flexibility and change.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will ensure that they provide a patient focused service and will be required to:
- Manage and lead a multi-disciplinary Team
- Have the necessary clinical skills to deliver nurse led sexual health clinics providing a high standard of care to symptomatic patients
- Deliver all forms of contraception including Intrauterine Contraception and Sub-dermal implants
- Have the ability to manage vulnerable patients
- Mentor and support other nurses and Health Care Support Workers within the service
- Be a Nurse prescriber or demonstrate ability and willingness to train
