Job summary
An opportunity has arisen to recruit a Recovery Coordinator to work within the Psychosocial Substance Misuse service at HMP/YOI Isis, Oxleas Interventions.
The successful candidate will be based in a young offenders prison and will be working within an established team, in a challenging and dynamic environment. The Oxleas Interventions Service offers support with substance misuse, family liaison, behaviour change work and SMART Recovery.
All posts are subject to DBS Disclosures, Home Office Security Clearance, prison clearance and receipt of satisfactory references.

Main duties of the job
- Effectively engage adult male offenders, promoting positive change and building motivation.
- Deliver psychosocial interventions, through 1-2-1 and groups.
- Provide effective case management through assessment, planning, monitoring and review.
- Work within the unique challenges of a secure and diverse environment.
- Work professionally, flexibly and creatively, promoting a culture of positive change.
- Understand issues of social exclusion, diversity, offending and substance use.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, prison and community services.
- Adhere to policies relating to safeguarding and governance.
- To record service activities, using appropriate documentation and case-notes, to a high standard and within required time frames.

Oxleas offers a wide range of NHS healthcare services to people living in South East London and Kent and to people in prison. Our services include community health care such as district nursing and speech and language therapy, care for people with learning disabilities and mental health care such as psychiatry, nursing and therapies. - To provide services within the drug and alcohol psychosocial treatment service at HMP/YOI Isis, ensuring that the services key elements (as outlined in key duties below) are integrated and delivered to a high standard.
- To deliver high quality interventions that support service users to achieve positive change and outcomes, recovery-focused goals, and community integration, within a recovery orientated service culture.
- To work effectively and flexibly with colleagues, partners, stakeholders and service users under the direction of the Team Leader and other Managers, to ensure high standards of performance are maintained.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION, PLEASE READ:
All applicants must be willing to undertake National Security Vetting in order to work in a Prison Setting. This will be completed as part of the pre-employment checks through Oxleas and the prison vetting team.
You will need to provide:
Proof of right to work documentation
Proof of ID, needs to include 1 photographicID
Proof of address documentation
Non-UK passport holders will need to have correct documentation (right to work in the UK) and a Home office Share code.
Address History:
5 years address history will be needed.
Applicants that are not UK Passport holders who provide less than 5 years UK address history will need to provide a Police Certificate which must be in English from where they resided previously.
Applicants who are UK Passport holders who have lived abroad for a period of more than six months during the last three years will need to provide a certificate of good conduct or an overseas police check in English from the countries resided in or visited.
