These posts are part of an exciting initiative inviting you to join our expanding range of Oxleas recruit to train opportunities, combining work and study in partnership with University College London and the Anna Freud Centre.
This is a training role (ASC/ASD) within the Child and Young Persons Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Programme (CYP-IAPT). The post holder will work within CAMHS directorate, providing evidence-based interventions under supervision whilst undertaking a programme of training for this role.
We are constantly looking at ways to improve & innovate our CAMHS services & have committed to providing all staff with dedicated time to participate and/or lead in service development initiatives through the Trust Quality Improvement (Qi) framework.

Main duties of the job
This intensive training post will equip the post holder to provide interventions based on CYP-IAPT care principles and also evidence based interventions consistent with their training course. The post holder will attend all taught and self study days required by the education provider as specified within the CYP IAPT curriculum and work for the service for the remaining days of the week. They will work in the multi-disciplinary Mental Health in School's team 3 days of the week and attend university 2 days a week.
The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.

- To have undertaken a recognised Qualification in one of the core mental health professions e.g. psychiatric nursing, occupational therapy, social work, with appropriate up-to-date registration.
Desirable
- Minimum second-class Bachelor's Degree from a UK University or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard in a relevant subject (e.g. psychology, social work etc).
- OR Applicants who do not fulfil the academic criteria but with relevant professional experience are encouraged to apply and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
