Job summary
Occupational Therapist, Band 6 Permanent, part time - 22.5 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 Occupational Therapist in Oaktree Lodge, Memorial Hospital. Oaktree Lodge is an older adults mental health rehabilitation service providing care and treatment for those aged 65 and over with complex mental health presentations. The post holder will work part time (22.5hrs/0.6wte) providing OT assessment and interventions as part of the multi disciplinary on Oaktree Lodge,.
The team is a friendly and supportive and welcome new staff and the ideas and skills they bring.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work with our occupational therapist assistant and contribute to the development and delivery of occupational therapy interventions.
The post involves a mix of opportunities including:
- Occupational Therapy Activities of Daily Living assessments, treatment, and intervention on an individual and group basis.
- Providing clinical input to complex cases
- Group interventions such as: creative activities, fitness activities, healthy and wellbeing, music, gardening, relaxation.
- 1:1 intervention to build on functional and social skills; structure a routine and making links into the community.
- Promoting social inclusion and community connections
This post is based at Oaktree Lodge, an open mental health rehabilitation in-patient unit serving South London as part of the South London Partnership.
