Rehabilitation Assistant, Band 3 Greenwich Community Neuro Rehab Team Permanent, 22.5 hours per week

The Greenwich Community Neuro Rehab Team is seeking a dynamic Rehabilitation Assistant with experience in working in a rehabilitation setting. The team comprises of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and language therapists and Therapy assistant practitioners. The service is well established and was developed to work with adults with neurological condition ,in their home, to provide rehabilitation and support with a view to promoting independence in their own homes.

Main duties of the job

You will work with Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language therapists and other Assistants in delivering treatment programs and rehabilitation activities within our multidisciplinary rehabilitation team

As the Rehabilitation Assistant you will be required to support the therapy staff in implementing the care plans. As part of your role you will provide and review mobility equipment/aids with the support of qualified members of the team. You will act as a source to provide health education and advice to patients, carers and their families.

You will need to be a versatile, adaptable team player who has good organisational skills. You will be required to use multiple computer systems therefore a good knowledge of IT is essential. There is a strong emphasis on CPD, reflective practice and clinical supervision within the service, supported by a named AHP professional advisor. Regular in service/external training is encouraged.
