Job summary
We are seeking highly organised and motivated Support Secretaries to join our busy administrative team on the bank. This role is integral to the efficient running of our clinical services and provides an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop within an NHS administrative career.
The postholder will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the clinical team, ensuring the timely production of high-quality correspondence and maintaining accurate patient records. You will be responsible for managing enquiries, preparing documentation, supporting clinic processes, and contributing to the smooth operation of the department.
Main duties of the job
- Producing accurate and timely clinical correspondence using digital dictation systems
- Managing incoming referrals, results, and patient queries
- Supporting consultants and clinicians with administrative tasks
- Maintaining patient information and ensuring data quality across systems
- Assisting with the coordination of clinics and waiting lists
- Providing general administrative support to the wider team
