Job summary
This is a full time position, 37.5 hours a week, over 4 days, Monday to Friday, and the chance to work occasional Saturdays if you want to.
We are a very family orientated unit, supporting each other as the need arises.
Our shifts are 7:30-18:00, 3 days a week with a short day of 7:30-15:30, but are happy to discuss other shift options, to fit around child care.
During the Covid 19 Pandemic, Queen Victoria Hospital became a specialist cancer centre for the South East.
We have been able to continue offering a full and varied Ophthalmic Outpatient service. We have a variety of Nurse led clinics as well as offering Diagnostics and support to our Consultants, Fellows and Allied Professionals within the department.
We are now looking to grow that service, with additional Clinician clinics and potentially more Nurse led clinics.

Main duties of the job
You will gain skills in the use of a variety of Diagnostic machines.
Assist with both Clinician and Nurse led clinics.
The successful candidate will be motivated and enthusiastic to learn.
