Job summary
This is post is for a substantive appointment as QVH Radiology Department seeks to expand its team of consultants. The post is for a consultant radiologist with a keen interest Head & Neck and Dental imaging (including CBCT) . There is the expectation to be able to report general radiology examinations including:o CTo MRIo US (including FNA/Core biopsy)o X-rayThere is an expectation to support registrars, CDC pathways and to work flexibly to cover colleagues.

Main duties of the job
This role is to cover core staging work for Head and Neck, CBCT reporting and general specialities as well as our imaging work performed on behalf of primary care and CDC.Reporting to cover the following modalities:o X-rayo US, including carrying out US guided biopsieso MRIo CT and CBCT

- Relevant NHS experience
- Specialty experience in Head and Neck / General radiology
- Experience in reporting CBCT and dental imaging
- Experience in H&N ultrasound guided FNA/Core biopsy
- MDT participation
- Governance experience and active participation (REALM / QIP/ Audit/ Other)
- FRCR or DDMFR
Desirable
- Supervision experience of doctors in training/Teaching and Medical Education experience
- On specialist register via CCT or CESR by the time of appointment
- Evidence of participation in research
