Job summary

As Chief Digital and Information Officer you will be the senior leader within the organisation responsible for the overall delivery of digital and information services and will lead the development and implementation of policy and strategy for health informatics within the Trust and work as part of the wider Integrated Care System (ICS) in support of wider strategies and plans.

You will ensure that fit for purpose and fit for use systems, hardware and applications, information and processes exist to enable staff and patients to use data and technology for greatest benefit to them. This will involve facilitating improvements and positive outcomes for patients, populations and staff enabled by technology and information solutions in the long term vision and business plans.

Main duties of the job

The CDIO will ensure the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of the Trust's operational IT provision, cyber security, procurement and implementation of digital services and solutions, business information and knowledge services, information governance, information management, and a portfolio of digital transformation work that will ensure that the organisation's business needs are met. This will include the roll out of the electronic patient record system (EPR) ensuring successful delivery on time and to budget.
