Queen Victoria Hospital is looking to increase the amount of people available to work across a number of administrative areas to help support our full time workforce continue to deliver an excellent service to the local community of East Grinstead.

Main duties of the job

Dependent upon your skills and experience, you could be asked to work anywhere within the Trust, from covering Reception in our World Class Burns Unit, to providing admin support in one of our Office based Teams. No two assignments will be the same, and can vary from working from one day in a department up to covering a placement of several weeks. We are looking to recruit Admin Staff who can offer a minimum of 3 full days per week.

These roles suit a range of skills and experience, from those just looking to start a career in administration to experienced and trained Medical Secretaries with thorough knowledge and expertise in a clinical setting.

  • Establish and maintain electronic and manual filing systems
  • Inputting and manipulation of data into relevant computer databases, creating documents, including lists and operational information for internal and external clients

  • Make routine and prioritised appointments either face to face or over the telephone with a diverse customer base where communication barriers can be unique to individual customers.
