Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will provide Obsteric and Gynaecology service at Medway and support the on-call rota for obstetric and gynaecology emergencies. A formal job plan will be agreed between the appointee and the Clinical Director , within 3 months commencement of the date of appointment.

This will be signed off by the Chief Executive officer and will be effective from commencement of the appointment. The job plan will be reviewed annually following the Appraisal meeting and prospective agreement that sets out a consultant's duties, responsibilities and objectives for the coming year.

o The job plan will attract an extra 5% on-call supplement (Category A).

o On-site resident on-call from 08:30-2130. Off-site on-call from 21:30 till next morning (24 hours in total). There is no prospective cover.Therefore, you need to swap your on-call if you wish to take it as annual leave.

  • -Experience in Gynaecological surgery ( ATSM in benign gynaecology surgery desirable)
