We are recruiting for a Static SMART Physiotherapist who shares our ambition and vision to deliver theBest of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.

Main duties of the job

The successful post holder will be expected to provide excellent patient-centred care within our SMART (Surgical Medical Acute Recovery) service, utilising evidence-based practice to ensure the best of care is provided to patients.

You will ensure that you are an effective member of our integrated team, being proactive in your approach to your own learning and development and supporting other members of the team to do the same. This role is within an evolving team team so training would be provided for you to support, as required.

You will be working within a nurse-led service but will have professional support and supervision from the inpatient orthopaedic therapists, but the day-to-day senior management will be from nursing staff.

The role currently manages our orthopaedic caseload but with service development, we hope to plan for the introduction of wider services and the consideration of virtual wards and admission avoidance.
