Medical Rota Coordinator

Are you highly organised, detail-oriented, and ready to play a vital role in supporting frontline healthcare services? We're looking for a Medical Rota Coordinator to join our dedicated team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust.
Main duties of the job
As part of the Medical Rota Office, you'll ensure the smooth running of medical staff rotas across the Trust. This is a dynamic role where no two days are the same -- from preparing and updating rotas, coordinating cover for absences, and managing temporary staffing requirements, to liaising with clinical teams and external agencies.
You'll be a key point of contact, providing helpdesk support for rota and staffing queries, and ensuring our electronic eRostering system is accurate and up to date. By working closely with operational and clinical colleagues, you'll help ensure patient services are always safely staffed

- NVQ level 4 or equivalent level of working experience
Knowledge

- Good working knowledge and experience of mainstream word processing, spreadsheet and email software, preferably MS Office.
- Good knowledge and understanding of the functionality and operation of hospital patient information systems or similar

- Substantial secretarial/ administration experience, preferably in a health service environment.
- Understanding and use of working with medical terminology
- Excellent computer literacy, ability to use Word ,Excel and Google sheets
- Experience of using PAS and Galaxy or equivalent
- Experience of medical rostering

- Ability to project a professional manner and approach
