Main duties of the job
To assist in the leadership and technical management of the Medway NHS Foundation Trusts Laundry & Linen services ensuring a high quality, efficient and customer focused services that meets all of the internal and external customer requirements.
Maintain the agreed standards in the service whilst having operational responsibility for Staff, budgets and KPI control. and Assist in the management, planning, organisation and administration of the services.

Job responsibilities
Delivery of a safe, high quality and cost-effective Laundry/ Linen service and to maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
Ensure quality and quantity of Linen produced meets HTM 01-04 standards.
Ensure safe working practices and compliance with Trust/National policies/legislation e.g. Health & safety, COSHH safety regulations and ISO standards.
Provide advice to our service users, keeping stock levels at optimum levels, ensuring that Trust policies and departmental SOPs are adhered too.
Provided leadership and management to the Laundry Team & in all aspects of Trust Laundry/ Linen Services Including responsibility for daily production.
Assist the estates management team in ensuring that laundry equipment is maintained in line with PPM schedules and materials comply with specified standards.
Liaise and work with the Trusts Infection Control team, ensuring appropriate policy compliance where appropriate.
Ensure efficient/effective Laundry/Linen service with appropriate record/administrative systems.
To assist in the management of financial and non-financial resources in accordance with expected performance standards via appropriate monitoring and benchmarking mechanisms e.g. ERIC, PLACE, PAM etc.

- NVQ management level 5 or equivalent operational management experience in Laundry and Linen services and production.
