Job description

Job responsibilities

  1. To provide acute gynaecology and obstetric cover to inpatient and outpatient service
  2. By arrangement to cover colleagues during periods of annual and study leave.
  3. Administrative duties specific to the role associated with the care of the patients and the running of the clinical department (including discharge paperwork).
  4. Participate actively in quality improvement activity/ clinical audit and implement its results.
  5. The post-holder will undertake, exceptionally, to perform additional duties in emergency and unforeseen circumstances as are essential for continuity of patient care.
  6. Abiding by the clinical and corporation governance policies of the Trust.

  • Full GMC Registration with Licence to Practise
  • Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent)

Desirable

  • Experience of working in the NHS as a Foundation or locally employed doctor.
  • Experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology working at FY1 level.
