We are recruiting for a Clinical Support Workerwho shares our ambition and vision to deliver theBest of Care by the Best Peopleand has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.
Main duties of the job
To assist the nursing team to ensure the day to day running of the Chemotherapy ward is maintained to the highest standard.
Caring and assisting patients with ADLs, emotional support and helping nurses manage side effects of chemotherapy treatment.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the nurses with observations, venepuncture, PICC access using posiflush and dressing changes- Skills not essential training will be provided.

- NVQ 2 in Healthcare/QCF Diploma in Health Level 2 or equivalent in area of speciality or an equivalent level of working experience within a similar role
- Evidence of a General Education e.g. GCSE's or equivalent
Knowledge

- Knowledge of Manual Handling of patients, using lifting aids
- Understanding the requirements of Patient Confidentiality
