Main duties of the job
To support the delivery of a comprehensive Medical Equipment Library Service as part of the Clinical Engineering Department of Medway Maritime Hospital. The job will include rostered weekend work. As such the Equipment Librarians will ensure that all Library Equipment is ready for use in a clean and safe manner, taking requests for, delivering and collecting Library Equipment from the Clinical Environment ensuring that, where necessary, appropriate decontamination has been correctly carried out.

- NVQ Level 2 Education or equivalent working experience
Knowledge

- General knowledge of computer systems at a desk top level, including Microsoft products including Excel and Edge
- An understanding of relevant legislation, national standards, professional and other guidelines e.g. Health and Safety, COSHH, RIDDOR, MHRA guidance, CQC Requirements
- Reasonable experience of working in a facilities role providing service to a clinical care environment.

- Experience of dealing with clients in a pressured environment
- Working with low level direct supervision
- Able to prioritise and manage own workload
