Main duties of the job
This position is part of a larger team function withhybrid working from home/office after an initial induction and training needs are complete (after 6 months). The post is full-time hours of 37.5.
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, flexible and organised Undergraduate Medical Education Supervisor.
This position will play an important role in ensuring delivery of contractual and training requirements across the Medical Schools (Guy's King's & St.Thomas' School of Medical Education (GKT) and Kent & Medway Medical School (KMMS) designated years of the MBBS programme, from induction to end of placement.
In addition, it will oversee and support the undergraduate local faculty group to ensure education governance standards and quality are met. This role will also play a pivotal position in operationally and managing delivering of medical elective placements within the Trust.

Job responsibilities
The Undergraduate Medical Education Department is responsible for developing, managing and delivering a range of high quality and cost effective medical educational services within the Trust to specifications required by the General Medical Council (GMC), NHS England (NHSE)and NHSE Kent, Surrey and Sussex (NHSE KSS), Medical Schools and the Trusts strategic and operational framework.
The role encompasses the day to day operational management, administration and effective line management and supervision of the student administration team in effectively delivering contractual and training requirements across the Medical Schools (Guys Kings & St. Thomas School of Medical Education (GKT) and Kent & Medway Medical School (KMMS)) designated years of the MBBS programme, from induction to end of placement. At all times, ensuring quality standards are delivered.
This will also include management oversight and organisation of external elective requests to Medway Hospital as per set elective guidelines, ensuring health & safety and clinical governance polices and procedures within the Trust are adhered to when organising the elective placement.
In all elements, this will include maintaining student records and ensuring systems, processes and data management are effective, accurate and auditable.
To ensure ongoing education governance standards are met, lead on the organisation and delivery of the Undergraduate Local Faculty Group, in collaboration with the DUME/Deputy DUME and Undergraduate Manager.
This will include taking minutes from these meetings.
The post holder will be required to manage a team delivering undergraduate education and related workstreams under this role, as well as liaise and communicate effectively with internaland external partners to promote the Undergraduate Medical Education Department and makestudents and teaching faculty the focus of your role. Communication and organisational skills are vital as is the ability to build relationships and support others.
