We are recruiting for a Service Manager within our Emergency Department Care Group who shares our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.
The successful post holder will be expected to lead the operational management team to coordinate and drive performance within the Emergency Department within and exceeding national targets.
Main duties of the job
As a Service Manager you will ensure the development and delivery of high quality, responsive and cost effective services in line with the requirements of Key stakeholders, the Trust strategic direction, and the Divisions Annual Service Plan.
You will work in partnership with the General Manager in the performance of monitoring of activity on a daily basis, to support the achievement of the Trust's targets, and monitor and implement subsequent actions required
Your role will be to operationally manage the service, providing clear leadership and ensuring delivery against our performance goals.
Additionally, you will have the capacity to manage budget effectively, be confident in delivering operational initiatives to achieve excellent patient experience.

To support the Directorate senior management team in the planning, development, provision and review of the Directorate services
To ensure the delivery of excellent, patient focused and cost effective services in line with the Trusts Strategic Direction and Service Plans and responsive to the needs of patients care.
To provide professional operational leadership for the service within the Directorate to promote the delivery of high quality, cost effective services
To set and review standards of service continuously, in line with the local modernisation targets, the NHS Plan, local contractual requirements, activity and financial targets
