The IT PMO Department is made up of 25 staff we are friendly and professional Team. Within the IT PMO it is made up of 6 teams which are PMO Administration Office, Project Managers, Business Change, Training, Testing and Quality / Clinical Safety.
The whole IT PMO Department collectively work together to deliver a high quality service to our end users of IT systems and in turn improve clinical services to patients through Digital Technology.
Main duties of the job
As part of the IT PMO Team you will work in collaboration with our project work streams, and other Trust technical teams to support and deliver the Digital programme of work.
The post holder will work closely with the PMs and workstream leads leading the implementation of a full programme of work in order to successfully implement digital solutions across the organisation.
The programme of work involves significant organisational change management and may require the solving of complex technical issues in order to enable the transformation, clinical and administrative processes. In addition the post holder will have line management responsibility for a number of project staff.

Lead and manage a team in the successful implementation of complex project/workstreams with particular reference to the implementation of the Programmes technical workstream, within the programme timescales and affecting all Trust staff, using PRINCE 2 and MFT methodologies
Identify, build and manage large multifunctional teams including technical staff with a specific focus on configuration, change/transformation, training, testing, complex interfacing/integration requirements, technical infrastructure, the roll out hardware, through to information and analytics in line with Trust procedures, processes and best practices
Fully participate as a member of the PMO team in managing and co-ordinating a significant number of PMO activities and tasks
Responsible for the day to day management of individual projects / work streams and provide project management support to the Programme Director, Workstream Leads PMO;
Manage the Programmes PMs to ensure that all deliverables are fit for purpose, integrated effectively and implemented on time;
Manage the dependencies and interfaces between projects to ensure their successful delivery in line with strategic objectives;
Use conflict resolution strategies in response to barriers of understanding or acceptance faced by or from the application teams and/or wider Trust audience;
Apply expert technical knowledge and operational experience to the deployment of IT solutions, whilst ensuring that all IG requirements are met;
Work with the Digital Business Change Manager for coordination of work
Lead technical IT based investigations and impact assessments on supplier products;
Manage supplier relationships by establishing robust communications channels with supplier project managers to ensure timely product delivery and fit for purpose criteria;
Ensure that all programme documentation is fit for purpose, accepted and retained in line with Programme Management Office processes;
Handle programme and works stream risks and issues, assisting in mitigating them as far as possible and escalating them to the Programme Board as required;
Interpret highly complex information to inform key decisions that ensure the integrity and delivery of tasks and project work within the Programme meets its set deadline;
Provide professional senior project management to the Trust to assist departments with the delivery of applications, systems and technology solutions that realise the full benefits for patients and the Trust;
Produce and maintain the formal programme documentation required throughout the project lifecycle including the production of Board level reports, plans, policies and procedures;
