Clinical Pharmacist - Rotational

We are recruiting for a Clinical Pharmacist - Rotational who shares our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best Peopleand has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.
Main duties of the job
The overaching goal of this position is to provide a comprehensive, high quality and compassionate pharmaceutical service to patients at Medway Hospital. The post holder will promote the safe, cost effective and rational use of drug therapy to provide optimal patient care whilst participating in education and training and supervision of other staff, as appropriate.
This is position is for a enthusiastic and passionate pharmacists to be a part of a team of 8 other rotational pharmacists. Clinical rotations are usually 6 - 9 months in length and are tailored to the individual pharmacist and service needs. Examples of rotations include acute medicine, cardiology, frailty, surgery, paediatrics, oncology and critical care.
In addition to a core clinical rotation, the post holder will gain experience in taking on additional areas of responsibility including: aseptic services, clinical governance, medicines safety, research, audit, homecare, medicines finance, medicines optimisation and antimicrobials. We support training for the clinical pharmacy deploma and the independent prescribing course.

We welcome pharmacists from any background and are experienced in providing developmental training. We will consider band 6 to 7 progression opportunities for the right candidate. Our goal is to support our clinical pharmacists to develop into strong band 8a specialist clinical pharmacists and beyond within the department.
