We are recruiting for Core Team members for our co-located Midwifery Led Unit who share our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and have the drive to help take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.

This is an exciting time to join the maternity services in Medway. We are open to change and development in the Midwifery Led Unit and keen to expand our team.

Medway Maternity services support approximately 5,000 women and babies per annum. We are forward thinking with motivated staff who strive to improve the quality of the service that we offer to our women, their babies and their families. We have achieved and sustained Baby Friendly Initiative Stage 3 and are now working to maintain this, and provide professional development opportunities for all levels of staff.

Main duties of the job

Would you like to be part of our dynamic Core Team on our Midwife Led Unit who are focused on creating a holistic and individualised experience?

Giving women choice in their place of birth, birth choices and autonomy can lead onto a positive birthing experience. We embrace and support the use of non - pharmacological analgesia, including, aromatherapy, water immersion and hypnobirthing.

Creating a strong core team on this unit will enable passionate midwives to provide outstanding care.

We are a flexible team and support other areas of the unit as required. It will be expected that you may need to work in other areas of Maternity, depending on activity, and will contribute to an on-call system for the hospital.
