This is an exciting opportunity to acquire knowledge and develop academic, research and clinical skills in Fetal-Maternal Medicine and high-risk obstetrics.
This is an exciting opportunity to acquire knowledge and develop academic, research and clinical skills in Fetal-Maternal Medicine and high-risk obstetrics. This is a 12 month clinical fellowship with the potential opportunity to extend to 24 months. The post-holder will primarily work in Medway Fetal and Maternal Medicine Centre (MFMC) and there is no expectation to undertake any work in Gynaecology Department nor to contribute to the on-call rota
The post holder will be supported to learn obstetric ultrasound scanning and encouraged to acquire research skills.
The fellowship is aimed at candidates who are interested in pursuing a clinical and academic career in Fetal-Maternal Medicine or high risk pregnancy.
The candidate will be supported to learn not just clinical skills relating to Fetal Medicine but contribute to the development and undertaking of research studies.
There are ample opportunities to participate in clinical audits, quality improvement and research projects.

Essential
- MBBS (or equivalent).
- Experience of working at Registrar grade on Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
Desirable
- Experience of working in a tertiary obstetric unit.
- Completion of ST4/5 training in O&G or equivalent.
Skills

- Understanding of clinical risk management.
- Possess Basic ultrasound skills
- Shows knowledge of evidence informed practice.
