Main duties of the job

The successful post holder will be responsible for the day to day management of the clinical area, delegating duties and care appropriately, whilst maintaining overall responsibility.

As a Clinical Sister / Charge Nurse you will ensure that you will provide strong clinical leadership skills; supporting, energising, inspiring and empowering others in pursuit of a shared vision to ensure the effective management of the ward/department.

As a Clinical Sister / Charge Nurse you will be expected to take on appraisals of Band 5 Staff Nurses and ensure that standards and quality are maintained at all times, this will include supervising junior members of staff. Active participation in audits is essential and will form excellent re-validation evidence.
