Job summary
We are seeking experienced Health Care Support Workers to join the team in our Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), the Hartsholme Centre which opened Summer 2017.
This is an exciting time to join LPFT as we continue our journey of service improvement.
Our staff supports people in one of the most critical stages of their mental illness. The PICU is a 10 bed, male only unit based in central Lincoln.
To be successful in this role, you need to be self-motivated, enthusiastic and empathetic. You will need excellent communication skills, be resourceful and keen to contribute actively in patient care, as a key role in the team.
This post also offers an additional £2000 Environmental Allowance per annum.

Main duties of the job
To work within the policies, protocols and clinical procedures of Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Trust and to promote competent working practice within an integrated multi-disciplinary team.
To liaise with the nurses and carry out assigned duties as a member of the multi- disciplinary mental health team.
To be prepared to work on own initiative as necessary and report to the Nurses.
Promote equality for all patients and understand their health needs.
Demonstrate an awareness of service user and carer perspectives on the provision of treatment and continuing care.
Participate regularly in clinical supervision sessions.
