Join Our Team as a Band 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker.

Are you a highly motivated individual with a passion for mental health care? We are looking for someone to join our Psychiatric Clinical Decisions Unit (PCDU) and Health-Based Place of Safety (HBPoS) at LPFT.

Your Role:

o Provide High-Quality Care: Participate in developing, implementing, and maintaining care within the clinical decisions unit.

o Support Assessments: Be actively involved in the assessment, planning, and implementation of patient care.

o Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with service users, their carers, and the nursing team to ensure a robust recovery pathway, often community based.

  • Previous relevant experience working with people with mental health problems at a nursing assistant grade or equivalent within a health and social care setting

Desirable

  • Voluntary or working capacity with mental health service or equivalent

Qualifications

  • Cavendish Care Certificate or willingness to work towards resourced by LPFT
  • NVQ Level 2 in Care or equivalent

Desirable

  • Certificate in Community Mental Health
  • ECDL

  • A patient and empathic approach
  • Effective communication with service user, other members of the team and outside agencies
  • Clear accurate clinical note keeping
